In case of lightning overvoltage, the device and the ground are turned from insulation to conduction, and breakdown and discharge are conducted to introduce lightning current or overvoltage to the ground to play a protective role. After the over-voltage is terminated, the lightning arrester will quickly recover to the disconnected state and return to normal operation.
